The Tripura State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) on May 13, 2025, issued a Notification on Self- Certification, Third-Party Inspection, and Auto-Renewal Mechanism for Consent Certificates.
These include:
•Self-Certification for industries with capital investment up to ₹50 lakhs, requiring submission of an online form and a prescribed self-declaration.
•Third-Party Inspection/Certification for industries with capital investment above ₹50 lakhs, with guidelines for empanelling environmental auditors.
•Auto-renewal of CTE and CTO for all capital investment categories, based on submission of requisite documents and inspection reports. However, these provisions will not apply where legal proceedings or closure orders are pending.
The notification is effective from May 13, 2025, and supersedes the earlier notification dated October 22, 2020.
